Christmas gifts

What the heck does someone get for a 15 month old girl? I have no idea what to get Cara for Christmas. Everything I see in the paper or at the store would be 'perfect' for Merilee. Cara has just played with all of Merilee's things up to this point. Anything I do think of, Merilee would probably claim it, so it doesn't really seem like a gift just for Cara. I don't want random/miscellaneous toys laying around taking up space. I want them to really get some good playing out of the toys. I also need it to stay around $10. Any ideas? What are you getting your kids for Christmas? I am running out of time!

It's tough, cause what I've thought of, you probably have a million of. There are a few toys I've purposely NOT bought Lizzie so I have ideas next time around. Is there anything she's particularly interested in? Do have time/energy/skill to make something? I'm sure you have plenty of toy food and baby dolls, but what about a blankie and pillow for a doll? Or her own mini apron if she likes being in the kitchen? (although that would be better for a little older maybe?) Do you have a shape sorter yet? The little cube with shaped blocks. Little People are always fun and there might be some on Craigslist. I'm always a big fan of books! That is a tough age to shop for.

Hi again. :) Okay, something musical? The little toy piano, xylophone, or drums are a hit from 8ish months up. Lizzie still loves that stuff at almost 3. Another would be little cars, since you might not have as many "boy" toys. Blocks are good-we love the mega bloks really big ones. Check Ross for those. The last one for now would be a toy bowling set-although that could turn into weapons depending on kid personalities. Ok, 1 more-balls are always fun. Oh, or a ride-on toy if you don't have that yet.

Good question! I've been dealing with the same thing (but on the boy end). i decided to get Gunner bath toys. something a little different and not just another something...

One idea could be a purse. They have little tiny ones and you could stitch her name onto it. I'm getting one for Steph's little girl, Ella. I thought of this 'cause Gunner is always carrying little bags around on really anything and putting stuff in it. He thinks it is a grand time...just an idea. Good luck!
