What do you want for Breakfast?

I made a breakfast the other day that I have never made before. Whole wheat pancakes! No big deal, but I have very seldom used my blender since getting married and I thought this would be a good way to try it out. Of course, I had to call my mom for the recipe and then make it dairy and egg free for Cara. So, first I ground 1 cup wheat with 1 1/4 cup soymilk for 3 minutes. Then add 1/3 c. of oil, 3 T. applesauce (1 egg), 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 T. sugar, and 1 T. baking powder. Mix it all together and WAHLA!!
I also got to use my new griddle that I got for Christmas. It cooked the pancakes so much faster than how I used to do it (one at a time in a pan). I am also making maple syrup there on the back burner. The baby pancake was for Merilee's baby doll, but Cara ended up eating it.

The girls plates (M. on left, C. on right. Cara ended up eating 4 pancakes!!)

And she licked her plate clean!

What a good momma you are making a hot breakfast for your girls! I love cooking pancakes on the griddle...I've never known it any other way. I love the doll pancake.
You always do Merilee's hair so beautiful!! My mom used to do my hair in the same type of braids. In fact, I remember my mom doing that very hairdo! I had a very tough scalp. ;)
