Holland turns 1!

We had a couple family get togethers for Holland's birthday. Grandad and Babushka came and we had a small party with cupcakes. Here is Holland opening a bath toy from Mommy and Daddy.

A couple weeks later, my side of the family came out for a bigger party full of cowboy games, chili, and cake.

I had to go get him out of bed for present and cake time. He was still pretty sleepy.

Those are peas on his plate too. Have to have some nutritional balance right? Actually, since he slept through dinner, I tried to give him something besides just sugar.

Holland has struggled a lot these last few months with his health. Nothing has been too serious but he just can't seem to catch a break. He has had constant ear infections, RSV, and finally ear tubes. He continues to have ear infections after the tubes as well as a stomach virus. However, he is 21 pounds, 29 1/2 inches, walking, babbling, feeding himself (with hands), and wrestles around with his sisters. He is mostly happy but also content/serious a lot of the time. Mommy is his favorite and he likes to hold onto my legs while I try to get things done (very frustrating). He is sleeping well and that makes me love him even more;) Happy birthday little guy!!
