Menu week of Sept. 12

So Justin and I have changed from the Atkins diet to Weight Watchers. We are really just using the points system as a guide for healthier meals with less fat.

It is supposed to be cool later this week, so soup sounded good. I also chose these recipes because I have cauliflower, potatoes, fresh spinach and a ton of romaine to use up.

www.skinnytaste.com/2011/08/skinny-meatloaf-cupcakes-with-mashed.html I am pairing this with a big side salad. Substituting carrots instead of zucchini.

www.skinnytaste.com/2008/04/stuffed-red-bliss-potatoes-3-pts.html I am going to add some ground turkey to this recipe and make it the main course with a side salad.

www.skinnytaste.com/2009/02/puerto-rican-style-beans-2-pts.html Same here, adding ground turkey and brown rice with a side salad. One pound will go with this meal as well as the previous.


As for breakfast and lunches:

Spinach pancakes- recipe later
chocolate crepes- recipe later
smoothies
oatmeal with bacon

salads
wraps (chicken, sour cream, spinach, hard boiled egg, chives, etc.)
leftovers

Snacks:
popcorn
rice cakes
pretzels
