I was recently made aware of a thing called a "sock bun". Apparently they have been around for awhile, so I googled some tutorials and tried it out on the girls' hair. Merilee's sock bun was too big and her hair was too wet, but Cara's turned out fabulous! They love that there is no heat involved and they can sleep on it comfortably (unlike sponge rollers). The curls only held for about half the day, but maybe with some hairspray they will last longer....still experimenting.
My little sister, Morgan, was recently called to the Kennewick WA mission for our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). She will be gone for 18 months and we had one last family get together before she left. She reported to the Missionary Training Center on February 1st. I will be updating her blog at

I'm gonna miss this girl, but I know she is where she is needed most! Remember to pray for the missionaries!
