Merilee starts First Grade this year. She was really excited but said she was nervous because she did not know how to learn in first grade. She has already had some homework and is confident once again because it was really easy. Her teacher is nice and seems very competent. I am so excited for her to learn how to read better and faster. It is a vital skill that will open up a new world for her. Justin and Merilee are reading a verse every night from the "real" Book of Mormon (not the kid one we use for family scriptures). She feels like such a grown up!
This is her first day outfit...I just have to say that this year's wardrobe makes me a little jealous. She will be totally stylish, modest, and age appropriate!
We had to get a picture of the second day too because her shirt says "HOPE", her middle name! And it sparkles!! She also said she got lots of compliments from boys and girls about her shoes (see first pic.) I just have to say that Merilee is fabulous in every way!!
