Amidst the stress of trying to get the rent house finished...it is very close...I was able to cram in some springtime/Easter crafts. I had this dress for Merilee that I found at a garage sale but instead of making her wear a white shirt underneath, I made her a shawl/cape. She loves it and so do I.
I didn't have a springtime wreath. It was past time to take down the Winter one, so I just used what I had and came up with this one. They are paper "flowers" that have the letters w.e.l.c.o.m.e. I like it but am not in LOVE with it.
I saw other crafters using pool noodles as a wreath form, so I bought one and used scrap fabric to tie knots around the whole thing in a spiral pattern. This wreath is in our entryway. It has sort of turned into an egg shape from where I joined the ends. It works well for this wreath but in the future, I am going to have to make sure I tape it up better/more.
I covered this three section file holder to match the curtains. I love how it turned out but it is still too small for our families never ending paper/filing mess! I hate paperwork pile-up, but have yet to find a really good system that is not a huge eyesore.
And finally I made a springtime banner above our TV. The only springtime decor I had were some random bunnies that were scattered around. I feel it is more cohesive now and enjoy looking at the things that I have very inexpensively whipped together.
