Today we went for a short drive up to Red Rock Canyon State Park which is a MASSIVE park that includes several smaller ones like Jawbone Canyon and goes up into Death Valley.
After driving around for awhile, we decided to just get out and attempt a hike. The ground was loose sand so we slid around for awhile and headed back down.Justin hiked with the waters and the walking stick. It looks like he has an eye patch on but he doesn't.
Not sure what Holland is doing here. He was wanting to be very independent during the hike but it was too dangerous to let go of him. He almost made me fall a couple times. If we go back, which I'm sure we will, we'll have to think of a better way to hike with him or find an actual hiking trail;)
That's our van down there in some shade. We had fun, but it was more of a learning experience so we can come better prepared in the future. Like getting an earlier start and hiking when it is cooler.
